Change Management Is Not Just Training

Training your users is not the same thing as managing change.

One of the biggest mistakes companies make during a software implementation is thinking that change management means scheduling a few training sessions before go-live.

Training is important, but it is only one part of the change process.

Change management begins much earlier. It starts when you explain why the change is happening, what problems the new system is solving, how daily work will be affected, and what support users will receive.

If users do not understand the change, they may resist the system or create manual workarounds.

The goal is not only to teach the team which buttons to click. The goal is to help them feel confident using the new process.

A successful implementation prepares people, not just the platform.
Do not wait until go-live to manage change. Start communicating early.
